A little about me.
I am a freelance artist and Illustrator, born and brought up in South Africa, and now living in the beautiful countryside of Cambridge UK with my amazingly supportive husband and son.
I enjoy working with many mediums, but watercolour has to be my favourite. I fell in love with its luminosity, and it is now the main body of my work.
Through my art and words, be they my own poetry or bible verse, or sayings, I love to “speak” for others, or capture a memory in a painting or sketch.
Bringing other people’s ideas to life is what I do best, and I am often commissioned to do artwork that breaths life into someone’s dreams.

Cindy also holds monthly flower workshops for the over 65’s in Ely, Cambridge. which is delightful she gives her free time to support members of the community to come out once a month and make new friends and enjoy/share the love of flowers.

The Bloomsbury Gardener has over 20 years of experience in flower arranging, plants and gardens. Beginning my horticultural career at the turn of the new millennium. In 2008 I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Floral enterprise from the University of the Arts. Gaining my knowledge through combining work and study has given me the advantage of learning practical skills as well as the theory. In the last eight to ten years the plant and gardening side grew and developed, gaining all round exposure to plants, gardens and seasons.
Create, design and maintain urban gardens in small spaces, some of which were not even garden plots! Using the creativity, knowledge and a little inspiration provide an outdoor space that provides the haven and oasis we all need in our lives. During installation and maintenance Bloomsbury Gardener will share his knowledge of plants, shrubs, and trees with you; as well as what goes well together, which have holistic properties and those that benefit wildlife, birds, and pollinators.
You, the customer is our complete focus. Bloomsbury Gardener will always listen to you and guide you to the most suitable garden for you. We know that creating a garden is fun, but it can also be time consuming. When designing your bespoke garden, we consider the time you can devote to it or we can create a personal maintenance programme for you.
